Cecilia Milligan is Hard of Hearing and her native language is American Sign Language. She’s from Spartanburg, SC, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with her master’s degree. Currently, Cecilia is in Nashville, TN working with Pre-K to 12th-grade students who are Deaf and Hard of hearing! Cecilia provides prevention education and social & emotional learning classes. She has experience working in the K-12 school system with special education programs and other agencies. Cecilia also works with students as a Deaf Interpreter for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students who may need assistant with language exposure. She teaches them American Sign Language and assists them in developing better communication skills. She has previously worked as a camp staff member at Camp Sertoma & SC School For The Deaf where she worked with deaf and hard of hearing campers age 7-18. Cecilia recently completed a certificate training for a Deaf Mentor program to assist families with babies with hearing loss through
the local early intervention services. Cecilia can provide tutoring in American Sign Language (ASL), Social & Emotional Learning (SEL), Math and History for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in grades K-12! Cecilia can also tutor reading and English for D/HH students in grades K-8! Cecilia enjoys working with children who are Deaf & Hard of hearing and being the role model for them!
